Event Description
One of the great successes of Lillian Hellman’s career, this serious, adult play focuses on two women who run a school for girls. A malicious youngster starts an entirely unfounded scandal about them which precipitates tragedy for the women. Later it is discovered that the gossip was pure invention, but by that time irreparable damage has been done.

A classic tale that resonates in our society today.
